Dr. Nasar is a board certified orthopedic surgeon and holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the
prestigious Cooper Union for the Advancement of Art and Science in New York City. He became interested
in artificial joint design while receiving specialized training in biomechanics and biomaterials at The Cooper Union. Dr.
Nasar participated in an additional year of specialization in minimally invasive joint replacement
surgery in Las Vegas, Nevada. At CentraState, Dr. Nasar has been instrumental in developing and
directing The Total Joint Center of New Jersey. He is particularly interested in advanced pain
management techniques that, combined with minimally invasive surgery, can lead to less discomfort
and a more rapid return to work and leisure activities. Dr. Nasar's experience as a mechanical engineer
gives him an intimate knowledge of the design and function of artificial joint prostheses and allows
him to select the most appropriate device for each patient. His goals are to restore patients to their
previous activity level, minimize pain, and facilitate rapid recovery. With advanced components and
techniques, Dr. Nasar's objective is to perform joint replacement surgery that can last a lifetime.
