Dr. Cardamone is a Board-Certified, Fellowship trained interventional physiatrist who specializes in sports, spine, and pain management. She has special interests in pregnancy/post-partum related pain complications as well as cancer rehabilitation, which includes evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of various cancer-related complications such as pain, spasms, neuropathy or lymphedema. Dr. Cardamone co-authored the Visceral Pain in Cancer chapter in Cancer Rehabilitation Principles and Practice. Dr. Cardamone's medical training included the prestigious New York Cornell Weill Medical Center, Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, Hospital for Special Surgery, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and Beth Israel Medical Center's Spine Institute of New York. With the primary goal of optimizing function, she treats a broad range of pain conditions through non-surgical treatment approaches including medications, supplementation, osteopathic manipulation techniques, coordination of physical therapy/exercise regimens, and various injections approaches such as facet and medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablation, epidural steroid, and intramuscular Botulinum toxin injections. She is also trained in electrodiagnostic medicine (NCS/EMG) which can assist with proper diagnosis of peripheral nerve injury. Dr. Cardamone recently relocated back to New Jersey from Manhattan and is looking forward to welcoming her new patients. As an athlete herself, she enjoys spending her leisure time playing softball and tennis, relaxing at the beach, and visiting with friends and family.
